Meet Pixel – Our Colorful Climber

Species: Ornate Uromastyx (Uromastyx ornata)

Pixel is our spunky Uromastyx, hatched on July 17, 2024—and he’s already full of personality! This energetic little lizard lives for adventure. Whether he’s climbing, jumping, or zooming around his enclosure, Pixel is always on the move (unless he’s napping, of course).

And speaking of naps… be warned: do not disturb! Pixel loves his beauty sleep and gets pretty grumpy if you wake him too early. But once he’s up and warmed by the sun, it’s go-time.

Pixel’s favorite snack? SALADS! He gets so excited when it’s salad time that he practically dances over to his bowl.

Now that he’s growing up, his stunning adult colors are starting to show—hints of bright blue, green, and yellow are beginning to peek through his scales. Every day he gets a little bolder and a little more beautiful!
