Dendrobates Leucomelas Blue Foot
Dart Frogs
Current Group: 6 individuals | 2 confirmed females (potentially 3)
Our Cerro Autana group represents a rare and visually captivating line of Dendrobates leucomelas, known colloquially as the Blue Foot morph. These frogs originate from a specific mountainous region of Venezuela and are instantly recognizable by their bold black-and-yellow banding paired with subtle bluish limbs – a color contrast that makes them a standout in any planted vivarium.
We’re currently housing a small, carefully selected group with known sex ratios, and while they are not actively breeding at this time, we’ve observed seasonal cues in behavior and activity patterns. As their natural rhythms kick in, we’ll begin facilitating structured breeding efforts with the goal of producing strong, healthy offspring from this genetically consistent line.
Our approach emphasizes:
- Locality purity and long-term health
- Naturalistic housing and seasonal cycling
- Educational pairing and limited releases
This morph is ideal for bioactive enthusiasts, serious leucomelas collectors, and those looking to work with a lesser-seen regional variant with clear visual identifiers and stable behavior.
