Bei
Eastern Indigo’s
Male Eastern Indigo Snake (Drymarchon couperi)
Age: 5 years
Bei is the senior member of our Eastern Indigo group at Slither ‘n’ Such – a calm, inquisitive presence with the kind of quiet confidence only time can instill. Though his exact genetic lineage is unknown, his age and steady temperament make him a valuable part of our indigo program’s behavioral and enrichment foundation.
Displaying the species’ signature iridescent black with a soft, cream-colored chin, Bei’s appearance is timeless. What stands out most, however, is his demeanor: unbothered, observant, and endlessly curious. He engages with his environment in thoughtful, measured ways and exemplifies the intelligence and gentle nature that have made Drymarchon couperi such a beloved species among advanced keepers.
As our plans for Eastern Indigo breeding and conservation outreach take shape, Bei serves as both ambassador and anchor – offering a solid behavioral baseline and interacting beautifully in educational settings.
